Moving Contemplations is a Retreat for Women that explores the relationships of body, mind and essence. We will explore our expressions through movement, breath, sound, image and metaphor along with our relationship with Presence and Heart. It is a multi genre approach to assist in creating a daily practice you can continue on your own, as it comes from a place of self-expression, comfort, and health.
We will explore the efforts of Time, Weight, Space and Flow, how you orient to differing tempos and movements gaining an expanded perceptional awareness. Through these explorations you will become conscious of deeper rhythms of movement in your body unfolding through varying shapes and qualities. This is your fluid body. These fluid forces are the same forces that originally shaped you and continue to shape and reshape you as an adult.
Finally, you will explore your wholeness as it relates to your individualistic way of being in relationship and communicating. Moving Contemplations is a practice in Mindfulness revitalizing oneself through conscious connection to nature/self/other. The benefits of such a daily practice is never ending. As you experience slowing down you will begin to notice a softening in your body, increased blood flow and oxygen bringing more nourishment to your entire body/brain. MC hydrates your fascia, tones muscles, increases your range of motion and brings a deeper to your essence/wholeness/spirit. It also allows you to express all that is being held non-verbally in your body, increasing resiliency and offering a sense of well being into your present awareness.
