The healthier you are the healthier our community. So let us help each other by caring for the health of the "whole".
What to expect in a session. In every session, I feel it is vital that each person be met where they are and in a manner that brings them a sense of safety and wellbeing. It is important to be able to personalize each session to the individual; together we find a way to connect health and well-being in a safe way that feels good. I invite clients to slow, become aware of their body, their breath and sense their fluidity. This assists in bringing the individual into present time, which is where all healing takes place. I listen to what my clients have to say to be able to address their needs.
Mindful Biodynamics Therapyassists in decompressing the nervous system and brings the individual into a sense of balanced wholeness. It is a joint practice of slowing and opening to the originating forces living within our fluid body. To tap into fluid intelligence is to tap into one's health and into the forces of nature that form our life, all life and continues to develop, evolve and support us throughout our lives.
Moving Contemplations (somatic education) invites Mindful Embodiment, an increased conscious awareness of your body through self initiated movements and sounds that are introduced to revitalize, resonate and rehydrate your body. We explore movements such as opening and closing, advancing and retreating, reaching as well as use of metaphors and images. This practice expresses the innate wisdom of your body while engaging fluid body and your more densified musculoskeletal body.
Therapeutic Massage is a full body massage focusing on slow long strokes combined with breath, gentle rocking and occasional stillness. The session will unfold according to the person receiving the work. Each massage is person specific.
Therapeutic Pilates, Physioball and/or Bands invites slow movements using gentle resistance to assist in sensing the inner workings of your core muscles as well as specific muscles being strengthened. You learn to recognize how much effort is enough. These tools assist in supporting your weight while finding the correct muscles for each movement you explore.
Cupping is an ancient technique for clearing by creating suction to soften tight muscles and tone attachments, loosen adhesions and lift connective tissue, bring hydration and blood flow to body tissues, move deep inflammation to the skin surface for release, and drain excess fluids and toxins by opening lymphatic pathways.
